The ACKCSC Health Alliance (also referred to the as the Cavalier Health Alliance) is a separate entity was established by the American Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club to protect and ensure the continuing health, education and welfare of the breed.
How do we use these donations? By supporting veterinary research into diseases and health problems that are known to occur in the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and in using breed-specific health surveys and follow-up research.
In addition to funding projects directly submitted to us, some funds will be used to help fund project in collaboration with the AKC Canine Health Foundation. The AKC Canine Health Foundation is also a 501 (c)(3) organization that provides matching funds for the research at the time such approved research grants are funded by us. This helps to increase the research projects that we can fund.
In addition to funding educational and health research for dogs and in particular the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, we strive to unite breeders, veterinarians, owners, and researchers in the quest for providing a better, longer life for Cavalier Spaniels. You can help!
The future of the health of our Cavaliers is in your hands. Helping our breed lies with Cavalier owners like you and me. Whether you donate $1, $1,000 or more, every dollar you donate will provide us the opportunity to help this breed that has given and continues to give so much to us. The ACKCSC Health Alliance is staffed completely by volunteers who love the breed, and as such, our operating expenses are minimal, consisting primarily of minor software and mailing expenses.
